He then worked in a Retirement Home looking after elderly people with dementia. This naturally led to him doing a three year degree in Mathematics before becoming a Police Officer. This convoluted CV is what John describes as the perfect preparation for him becoming a full time photographer. He now takes pictures and teaches from his studio in East Yorkshire. Traveling all around the world teaching and talking to his fellow photographers. He works principally in the areas of contemporary portrait and nude photography.
